checked if contested. (Open class tractors excluded)
Weight
brackets are allowed in all of the classes but weights and/or
brackets cannot exceed farther than 11 feet forward from the center
of the rear axle. Rear weights must not extend rearward beyond the
rear tires. Weights of bolt on type to either the front or back
wheels, frame weights, suitcase weights, and fluid in the tires are
permitted. No concrete weights allowed. All weights must be secured
to tractor using 1” or larger straps with ratchet type
fasteners, or firmly pinned or bolted.
All
tractors must have a serial number in the proper place. This serial
number must not be ground on or tampered with.
Tractors
cannot enter classes below their manufactured shipping weight.
Tractors
will be allowed to pull in both the percentage and distance classes,
if they qualify.
All
tractors except exhibition tractors will be weighed before each
hook.
No
alcoholic beverages allowed. Abuse will result in disqualification.
Foul
and abusive language and/or threats or physical abuse to any puller,
board member, or official will be grounds for permanent
disqualification.
Tractors
must be operated in a safe manner at all times. 5 MPH speed limit
in pit area.
Running
tractors must be attended at all times.
Only
the driver is permitted on the tractor. NO RIDERS!!
No
one is allowed on the track except officials and the pullers.
Tractor
and sled must remain in bounds at all times. Out of bounds will
result in disqualification.
It
is the responsibility of the driver to see that he or she is
registered and weighed in by the designated deadline.
There
will be a driver’s meeting before each day of pulling to make
announcements and answer questions.
The
judge’s decision is final in all instances. (Judges are two or
more officers and/or tech persons.)
A
list will be prepared and posted as to the pulling order.
When
the sled is being hooked and unhooked, the driver must have the
tractor transmission in neutral, foot off the clutch or hand
clutches disengaged, arms in the air, and engine at idle.
All
pulls must start with a tight chain.
A
50 lb. over-variance will be allowed on the top end of each weight
class. This will allow for scale variance due to temperatures
throughout the day.
Double
Tree tractors are restricted to DIV I and DIV II only.
Kids
8-18 are allowed to pull in all classes (except open class). Child
must demonstrate ability to handle the tractor, backing to sled,
etc. Parent must sign a “child waiver” form before each
event. Parent must supervise and walk beside younger, less
experienced pullers.
To
be eligible for annual championship awards in a class/division,
pullers must be members and pull a minimum of 6 times in the same
class/division.
Sponsors
and advertising plaques or signs. 144 sq. inches max may be put on
your tractor as long as it does not interfere with teching of the
tractor.
All
rules will be interpreted by the Tech/Rules committee. Any
unforeseen problems or oversights will be ruled on by the Tech/Rules
committee with their rulings being final. Anyone refusing teching of
a tractor will be put in the open class or permanently disqualified.
If
your tractor does not meet all of the needed requirements for a
class/division, you may pull exhibition only.
Any
tractor not having rubber tires must pull as exhibition.
Drivers
must remain seated (if tractor was equipped with a seat when it was
new) with one hand on the steering wheel. NO BOUNCING!!
Engine
trouble, gas line plugged, jumping out of gear, and other such
problems common to old tractors during a pull does not end your
pull. Drivers can stop the pull in the first 30’ (one sled
length), clear the problem and re-pull at the end of the class.
Running out of gas does end your pull.
Two
drivers per class will be permitted on the same tractor. Only the
first hook is eligible for points or ribbons.
Gas,
diesel, and LP fuels only! No alcohol or nitrous oxide fuels and no
propane injection on diesels.
Distance
and Percentage weight classes will be as follows: 0-2500#,
2501-3000#, 3001-3500#, 3501-4000#, 4001-4500#, 4501-5000#,
5001-5500#, 5501-6000#, 6001-6500#, 6501-7500#, 7501-8500#.
REMEMBER
weigh in time for all pulls will be 8:00 to 9:30 with the pulls
beginning promptly at 10:00. You must be registered (paperwork
completed and money paid) by 9:30. If you show up after 9:30 to
register you will not be able to pull that day. So please, don’t
take time to unload tractors before you register. Get registered so
that you will be able to pull. The individual membership is $30.
Family (same household) membership is $30 plus $5 for each
additional family member. The fee for insurance is $25 for the year
or $10 per day. The hook fee is $10 per hook.
Just

ENFORCED.
It
is important that members help at pulls.
